Deal of the Day: Foley + Corinna Savvy Tourista

I just bought this Foley + Corinna Handbags Patent Savvy Tourista in Sandstone from RevolveClothing.com. I’ve always loved Foley + Corinna Handbags Classic Mid City Totes but found them too bulky to carry. The Foley + Corinna Savvy Tourista caught my eye for its sleek lines and the contrast between its white leather and black patent leather. This is the second bag I’ve bought this year that’s had patent black leather detailing, my first being my electric blue Olivia Harris satchel (which I love!).

Originally priced at $575 (KD156), the bag was on sale for $144 (KD39). A steal, right? But I double-checked at one of my favorite shopping secrets, Retail Me Not to see if they had any discount coupons for RevolveClothing.com. They did! I got an additional 25% off the price and bought the bag for $108, only KD29! I saved KD127!

I love my Foley + Corinna Savvy Tourista and am ecstatic that I got it at such a bargain price. Do you get giddy like me when you find a great deal shopping?

As for my original hunt for a stunning red bag, I’ve found a few red bags that I like but still haven’t fallen in love with one yet. I’ll try to post my selection over the weekend. In the meantime tell me, what’s the last bag you bought?

If you can’t wait for the Aila Exhibition to begin, you can visit Brown Booteek (Tala Center, 25713019) to buy an early piece. This mock croc bag is a classic piece. It sells for KD73.

In three weeks Brown Booteek will be receiving a new shipment of bags and clutches in new and exciting colors.

Olivia Harris Electric Blue Satchel

I’ve mentioned in several posts now that I’m on the search for a red bag instead of the usual black and blue handbags I have in my wardrobe. Can you guess what I wound up buying over the weekend?

It’s an electric blue Olivia Harris East West Patch Satchel with black highlights.

This is the third bag that I’ve bought this year that comes with an optional shoulder strap. I find them perfect for local outings and travel.

I can’t help being drawn to shades of blue and black. What colors fill up your closet? Have you noticed that a certain color dominates your wardrobe and shopping choices?

Are You a Member of Luxury For All Kuwait?

A friend of mine sent me the link to LFAKuwait.com, a website that has the same concept of Bag Borrow or Steal. LFAKuwait.com allows you to “rent” a luxury handbag for a minor charge.

There’s a high demand in Kuwait for authentic luxury handbags at a cheaper price. Renting bags has the potential to be a success, but only after the founders initiate some changes.

If you compare the more established Bag Borrow or Steal to LFAKuwait.com, you’ll see that the former has a huge inventory of bags and each one more dazzling than the next. The bags at LFAKuwait.com aren’t appealing to me. I’m sure with time they will manage to get more stock in.

Another issue that I have are the many typos that appear on the website. When I see Gucci spelled as Cucci, it doesn’t instill confidence in me to rent bags from them. I hope these are things that will work out with time.

There are 3 membership types:

1. 3 months for 20 KD
2. 6 months for 35 KD
3. 1 year for 50 KD

For more information on LFAKuwait.com, call their customer service number at 4464467 or email them at lfakuwait@gmail.com.

If You Had to Choose

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been on a mission to find a scarlet red handbag. I noticed that the majority of the bags I owned are black or in shades of blue. Over the summer I bought a bright yellow ostrich handbag and another plum colored bag but I still feel the need to infuse more color into my handbag collection!

While browsing through the selection at E-Luxury.com I saw these two bags from Fendi and Dior. I’m actually not fond of either, but they managed to catch my eye. Are you a fan? Would you go with the fringe or ruffles?
