Hot or Not? Barbed Wire Ring

I saw this Luc Kieffer Barbed Wire Ring at Shopbop.com and couldn’t decide whether I loved or hated it. What’s your take? Is it edgy or simply trying too hard? In other words, hot or not?

    not, but his stuff with swarovski in it rules
    really high quality but embedded wire and zippers are so corny
