Shopaholic Sharifa is a new weekly feature by team member, Sharifa. Let us know in the comments what you think of her debut effort and what you think the shopaholic should feature next!

I must admit, I am a bit of a shopaholic, and I enjoy browsing items online even though I know I won’t buy all of them.

I’m known in my family to be completely obsessed with handbags, more than anything in the world. When I was younger, I used to “collect” smaller handbags; I didn’t carry much other than my tiny wallet and cell phone. That all changed a couple of years ago, when I started carrying more and more things and my bag became a permanent attachment to my body.

Totally fell in love with this Dolce & Gabbana Metallic Calfskin Satchel ($695). You could find it on eLuxury.com.

The size is good, I just love the color gold, and its shiny. It could go with absolutely anything in your closet.

This VPL Tidal Tote ($1,015) brought out the rocker chic in me. It’s not your usual hand bag, and very uniquely structured. You could find this at Shopbop.

This is the Lovely Behti Tote by Marc by Marc Jacobs ($458) is a classic looking bag and could be a match with any outfit. It comes in two colors, the Cream (which is shown here) and Nice Tan. I prefer the Cream color, it looks much nicer in my opinion, and the price is not a back breaker also. You could find this bag at Shopbop.

Do you remember the L.A.M.B handbag that Paris Hilton was photographed carrying? I do and I loved it, and there is a clutch of it! I’m ecstatic. This Signature Carlisle Large Clutch by L.A.M.B ($425) is 2 in 1. It could be carried folded or opened (looking like a handbag). It also comes in different prints the Cheetah, Saddle, Ombre Rasta and Silver. The one shown up here is the Ombre Rasta.

I like all the bags that Sharifa posted except for the Behti Tote. The structured one reminds of some bags I saw at Nejoud Boodai’s boutique in Salhiya. They were made by a British designer if I’m not mistaken and they also had a strange placement for the zipper which gave them an edge.

Good effort Shareefa :) Just one thing though. As a reader when I read about a feature I would like something specific. For example I would like it if the post was only about metallic bags and you compared the Dolce with other gold colored bags. Or maybe a feature just about clutches or just about huge cream/white totes or an introduction to LAMB bags in general. Know what I mean? It would give the post more focus and for me it’s fun to compare the bags that have the same concept. Good luck :D
