Question of the Day
How much would you spend on having a gift professionally wrapped?
1) 0 KD
2) Up to KD 1
3) Up to KD 5
4) More than KD 5
How far would you travel to have an item gift wrapped?
1) Won’t Travel - I would prefer to buy the materials and wrap it myself at home
2) Five to Ten Minutes Away - To the distance of the local co-op (jam3iya)
3) Fifteen to Twenty Minutes Away - To an area farther away from my house (Example: Salmiya)
4) Doesn’t Matter - I have a driver

I agree with outlaw, I don’t mind how far I “travel” to get a gift wrapped, about the amount though, it depends on how nice the place is. I don’t like tacky gift wrapping. It also depends on who its for.
Where are good places to get the gifts wrapped?

Not more than 5 kd but still that’s way too much for scissor-cut wrapping paper, bits of silicone glue and a little piece of ribbon!
Consider the following:
1. The cost of the wrapping paper is about 50-100 fils or a bit more according to the type
2. Decorations should cost no more than 100 fils for each piece
3. Plus a whole roll of ribbon shouldn’t cost more than 1 kd or less
4. All this adds up to 1.200 kd for a whole wrapping paper, full roll of ribbon and some decorations on top, even the ‘non-special’ wrap costs double that price!!
5. Compare prices of gift wrapping shops world wide. All I can say is gift wrapping shops here are such rip offs

Five to 10 minutes away is fine, but why go further? Same results everywhere you’ll always get that philippino lady with an attitude problem and it’s not like they’re any cheaper other places

I would pay more than 5 KD depending on who the gift is for. For example, I would pay up to 15 KD if its for my mom, but maybe if its for a colleague I would pay 8 KD.

I’d prefer to have the same store wrap them, or a store within the vicinity. That would be best.

Q1 - up to 5kd….why cuz i am an amazing gift wrapper and i can put together something nicer andmuch more original myself….but sometimes theres no time…and i have to get it done professionally.
Q2 - up to 20mins away
but i really prefer doing it myself…and when i do it i dont care how much it costs cuz i know the end result is worth it.

I love wrapping my own gifts. If I am in a rush or something then I would end up finding a gift wrapping place nearby. 5 KD is the limit. I agree with outlaw on the fact of it depends on whose birthday it is. If it is for a dear friend of mine I could travel for hours just to get something done for them.
