Havaianas Will Take Over Kuwait

How do you feel about Havaianas? I can’t help but think of them as glorified flip-flops despite my friends loving them.

The company that owns Havaianas, Alpargatas, has struck an agreement with a Dubai-based company to distribute more Havaianas in the Gulf region. Between 10,000 to 15,000 pairs of Havaianas find their way to the region each year but both companies hope to triple that number by 2009.

What does that mean for you? Absolutely nothing if you’re like me and don’t care for them. The world, if you are a Havaianas fan and live for those flip-flops.

Havaianas are already available at several stores in Kuwait, such as Pink Moon where you can order a pair online. You can also visit their store to make sure they’re your size.

Are you a Havaianas fan? Let me know in the comments!

I think if you’re laid back and simply wear anything on your way out, you would love havaianas. They’re made in different solid fantabulous colors and some are designed differently. I always wear them when I’m running late to class (which is almost everyday) or when going out for a fast bite to eat. They probably won’t be as popular in Kuwait just cause many people consider them as n3al chumchum (toilet).
…they;re not to die for, but then again they’re nice to have around.

i love those kind of flip flops, i tried on the ones at pink moon boutique, they didnt look nice on me, they looked too bulky and wide (my foot is small and narrow). i like the ones at Topshop and Accessorize..

Oh, and how do u pronounce Havaianas ? ;p

i’ve been a fan of flip-flops for a couple of years now .. havaianas are simply the best in terms of quality and comfort

the prints don’t fade with wear like all the other flip-flops around

they don’t smell after wearing them for a while and sweating in them

and they don’t give u the “plastic burn” feeling associated with first wear and they’re very cushy for flip-flops and they stay that way even when you use them for more than a year

    I love havaianas! Very comfy!

The distributor of havaianas Dubai emailed me, there’s a store here in Kuwait that sells different styles of havaianas. Etoile Jeans(Beside GO Sports) at the Avenues mall.
