Chanel and the Hijab
As I looked at Chanel’s Fall 2007 Couture Collection I couldn’t help but wonder if muhajabas will fashionably embrace this Chanel look and make it their own.
If you’re in Kuwait, I’m sure you have all see women wearing hijabs and revealing leggings. It’s something I don’t think I will ever understand because I don’t think women should pair a mini-skirt with leggings while they have a scarf around their head. Are they fashionable muhajabas or simply tarnishing the religious value of the hijab?
During our brief winter months I usually see these women skirts paired with knee-length boots but can you see this as their new winter alternative?

actually i’ve seen them wearing tight ass jeans and those really high hooker looking heels here,… so those pics are actually quite modest compared to some things you see on the streets here.

First of all hello (coz im a new member here) and happy ramadan,secondly, Guyz,guyz,guyz…. Chanel did not mean it as hijab, its scarve as dior/lv/findi and WE take it as hijab and blah blah blah,so we shud be more understandable and not takin everythin against us and our religion. and about muhajabat wearin mini skirts and leggings,i think they had to wear hijab not coz they want but coz of the society, and they wear the leggings as a cure poor girls.
thats just my opinion…

But seriously it’s really annoying cos i have to wear hijab and i wanna wear jeans and stuff and ppls think cos ur wearing jeans you may as well take off ur scarf…SO NOT TRUE! they’re baggies like skirts. I agree though…leggings is stretching it TOOO far!

leggings is taking it too far .. wearing it ala panjabi style i think is alright when you have a knee grazing looser top or just below the knee in winter skirts .. if its with boots..
muhajabas i will run a discussion soon on my blog regarding what you think is nice and what not to wear..
