Summer Fragrances: What is Your Perfume of Choice?

Eva asked in an earlier post for some fragrance recommendations, something fresh and light for the summer mornings. Ansam and Aseel recommended Kenzo Parfum D’éte, Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker, Vera Wang Princess, and Eau de Lune by Laura Mercier.
I didn’t have any recommendations. Why? I’m very picky when it comes to scents. I usually stick to one perfume. I don’t like changing them except for seasons, of course! In fact when I want to try new perfumes I usually raid my mother’s dresser. She buys perfumes every time a new one comes out and so that’s the first place I went to after reading Eva’s comment.
I tried Calvin Klein Euphoria Blossom. It was nice but not for me. Salvator Ferragamo’s Incanto tried to be too many things and confused my senses. Clinique’s Happy to Be made me sneeze. Issey Miyake never agrees with me. There’s just something about the scent that I cannot stand. Dior Addict 2 Summer Peonies was not for me. The Flower By Kenzo bottle always attracts my attention for some reason and I liked its fresh scent. ck one summer reaffirmed that I will never like another ck perfume again. ck one was my favorite scent during my high school years but the love affair with ck ended then. Escada Sunset Heat for Her was one I stole from that dresser but I only loved two scents. They were Valentino’s Rock ‘n Rose and Nina Ricci. These two are currently residing in my room. I think it will be some time before I change perfumes again.
So in the end, Eva, I can only recommend Valentino and Nina Ricci but I think the best thing to do would be to go to Vavavoom or Debenhams and check out the Bestselling Top 10 perfumes. It’s a great way to be exposed to the latest perfumes and they always offer a wide variety of other perfumes if none of the top ten please you.

I have been using ONE perfume for 14 years LOL.. yes, the bottle and appearance changed but I didnt. Kenzo, Parfum D’ete (literally translate to Kenzo’s summer perfume)…
All other perfumes I get as gift, but I was so loyal I never switched… till Sarah Jessica Parker’s Lovely came into existence! I LOVE both.. and I switch between the two, I buy Kenzo, and then I buy Lovely.. My dresser has only one perfume! Besides.. I am a person who enjoys bukhoor and teeb, my all time favorites of course..

And I am sticking with it
Am currently using ESCADA into the blue. It’s fresh and very light for the summer, it has a fruiy scent to it. Other light perfumes that I recommend are: The new Burberry London, BVLGARI Rose Essentielle Eau de Parfum, Stella In Two Eau de Toilette, and NARCISO RODRIGUEZ for her. Hope this helps
I use Tommy Hilfiger’s True Star (Beyonce) for the “on the go girl” in me. For casual night outs I use Elizabeth Arden 5th Avenue. But for the more adventurous me, like you Zahra, I raid my mother’s dresser as she almost always have the latest scents.

yesterday , after work i went to debenhams , and i got a new perfume that i guess am starting to love ” makan 7ub mn awal nathra :p ” , it’s calvin klein IN2U ” CKin2u for Her opens with a burst of pink grapefruit fizz, and a surge of mouthwatering sugar orchid. Lit from within, neon amber rushes throughout. The base of the scent is flush with seduction, satisfaction and a lingering afterglow ”

and CK one summer , Ayyam Gabel ! , the thing is many perfumes i still like , CD , lacoste more than one perfume they got i still love , but i need something ma ythakrne eb shay :p

I love Gucci Envy me2…iv been using it for a while now and i absolutely LOVE it…
I’m thinkin of gettin the Valentino Rock ‘n Rose coz a friend told me abot it and its awesome…soooo me….but the Gucci one wil always b my fav….

I’m going to check out Valentino, I have a feeling I’m going to like it
