Tricky question, Kuwait is diverse when it comes to style , i mean you can find styles from the 70’s &80’s and probably some 2050’s … But what is style actually? Does style represent a few high enders alone or the entire mass ? Why does style has to have a brand name ? Does a style has to originate from a high end mall like Marina, why can’t it be from mahameed ? Whats the point in paying 70KD to a BOSS jeans while one can pay KD22 for a Timberland Jeans or KD6 for a lee cooper jeans ? after all , all of them are made in China !
So who really represensts fashion in Kuwait ? I’m confused !

I think that the one institution that has been promoting Kuwait and its fashion style is “Villa Moda” both locally and Internationally.

Wherever you go outside of Kuwait and mention that you are from Kuwait, you mostly get an answer; ” Oh….the place where there is a store called Villa Moda !!! ”

I find it wierd that people relate Kuwait to Villa Moda, but it seems that they are doing a great international PR job.

Happy Wolf so am I. There are so many conflicting views as to what & who is stylish locally. With my question I was hoping to learn of a person influential enough to inspire fashion and set trends but it only gave me more questions to think about.

chai-7aleeb I think Sheikh Majed is doing a fabulous job putting Villa Moda/Kuwait on the map in terms of style.
