My Very Own Anya Hindmarch “I’m Not a Plastic Bag” bag

Yesterday my friend surprised me with a gift. It was the much coveted Anya Hindmarch “I’m Not a Plastic Bag” bag! She had gone to Villa Moda Mubarakiya and found many of them there that she snatched them up for her friends. I was one of the lucky ones!
I think the bag is cute but I don’t understand the whole fuss that’s being made over it in the UK and the US. It’s sold out everywhere! Many people are buying them and then selling them on E-bay for outrageous prices. Just do a search on it and check out the bids! A smart person would buy out the ones in Villa Moda and sell them on E-bay. I thought about it but figured it wasn’t worth the hassle of setting up an E-bay account and sorting out the shipping.
As far as prices go, in the UK it sells for 5 pounds but the US has theirs priced at $15. Villa Moda are selling them for KD5. That’s around the same price as the US.

I love this bag even though the stiching on it is not very clean. I bought like 20 of these bags! I can’t believe people in Kuwait are no aware of it…

I got my X-BF to go to Villa Moda last night and get me 3 of them; one for my friend, one for me and one for his sister.
He didn’t get what all the fuss was about and I had to explain to him hahahhaha
They are totally sold out throughout the UK and will no longer make any. Villa Moda bought some of the UK batch, maybe thats why ;p
Anyway, I like the bag, it’s cuuuuute! Can’t wait til I get it Aramex’d to meeee

I’m glad you liked my blog (like wise). And I actually did buy 20 for my sister, relatives, and friends. They loved it (well.. almost all of them). I even mentioned it on bagsnob.com but they thought it was fishy and that I was making that up..

No, I didnt go out this last weekend. I got a bit sick and the weather wasnt helping (the perfect birthday gift to me LOL)
I dont know if I should make the trip and go through the hassle when they might be out of it anyway!

I’m in the UK too. I called the Villa Moda store today as mentioned on the Anya website. They have them in stock and I have ordered 3. Call them in the morning.

Waiting for email back from Maryann (manager). They are 2 hours ahead. You need to keep calling because sometimes they are engaged and sometimes they just don’t answer. But if you get through, ask to speak to Maryann.
As mentioned earlier on this site, they cost KD5 (about £8) as for shipping not sure yet. But remember you need to think about customs tax if package is worth over £18. So if you want to order more than say 2 or 3 then do a few separate orders.
I ll post back as soon as I hear back from her.
