A Day at the Villa Moda Sale
Published May 11th, 2007Villa Moda’s clearance sale started last Saturday but will last until Tuesday, May 15th. It’s a 90% clearance sale with prices slashed down dramatically. Items that had an original sales price of up to KD1999 were being sold for KD50. I refrained from writing about it because though I enjoy Villa Moda, I’m not a fan of their sales and didn’t want to promote it. These events are usually packed with people all fighting over designer goods that are several seasons’ old. While I enjoy sales I dislike the way most sales are run in Kuwait. I think major reforms need to be done to the retail business locally and sales are just the tip of the iceberg. Villa Moda is a key example of a store with recyclable sales. Someone talked me into going there to check out the scene and at the sale I found shoes I’d bought over three years ago from Villa Moda’s Warehouse. I purchased them ON SALE over three years ago. They’re still there. I don’t know about you but I’m not too keen on buying stuff which was on sale years ago, luxury brand or not. I decided to post about it because whether I like it or not, Villa Moda sales play a big part in Kuwait Style.
For those of you who would like to go the sale’s located at Movenpick (Free Trade Zone) and not at the main Villa Moda store. They will be open today from 4-9PM only since it’s a Friday. Again, the sale ends on Tuesday! Happy Shopping!

Oh thanks for the post. I always wondered about the sale and whether i should go or not… Shakil el clothes chethi ma yshaje3, they look so cheap and ugly stacked together in those racks
Looks like a war zone out there.
It’s a shame.
