Similar Bag: Chanel and Nine West

It’s alarming how lately many fashion companies keep stealing designs from one another. Yes, fashion is not always unique, many times inspired by past trends but there are some cases where copycats are evident. Forever21 has been known to duplicate looks from off the runway and have been sued for it.

While browsing The Bag Lady I found posts with the latest copycat designs for bags. I’ve placed images of them below, one’s Chanel and the other is from Nine West.

The see-through bag was a trend during my high school days and I hated it then, and hate it now. I understand how this bag may be useful while going through airport security but other than that, why would anyone want to carry a clear bag? Take into account Chanel’s hefty price of $950. My bag’s constantly overflowing with things, things I probably don’t need but carry anyway. If I had to carry one of these clear bags I’d feel limited in what I placed in it. I believe I’d only take my purse, car keys, mobile phone and small compact mirror. If you had a clear bag, what would you carry around for the whole world to see?

Dreadful. I’ll never get caught carrying those. No matter how stylish some people might think it is. Eeeek.
