Review: Baboona Store

A couple of days ago I came across Baboona Store online while researching Kuwait and online shops. The name initially perplexed me until I saw it in Arabic on the site. I was pleasantly surprised to see an updated page complete with pictures, especially since the majority of companies I found had outdated information on their sites. While the site itself could do with a little revamping, it made up for it by having a current blog. I’m excited that Kuwaiti stores are beginning to realize the importance of marketing online. There are many potential customers that you can capture simply by having an online prescence.

I decided to pay their store a visit to view their merchandise. They had a lot of traditional Kuwaiti robes and lovely embroidered shirts. A fun fact about Baboona Store is that they designed the costumes that you can currently see for the new song on KTV. At the store, many of the clothes were reminiscent of Indian embroidery. It was very ethnic and the type of apparel my American friends go crazy over. I love embroidered shirts but tend to wear Kuwaiti robes only during Ramadan. Nevertheless I know people who love shopping at stores similar to Baboona and recommended it to them. Baboona Store also sell handbags, scarves and numerous other accessories. Their prices are reasonable in comparison to other stores that sell Kuwaiti robes. While I did not make a purchase, they are firmly entrenched in my mind for the future and I plan on going back.

Are you a Kuwaiti store with your own site and/or blog? If you would like me to review your store send me an email: .
